With over thirty years experience in the commercial real estate industry, Mr. William Powell is a founding partner of Meridian Property Company. Since the company’s inception in November 2000, he has been responsible for all aspects of the real estate development process, including site acquisition, financing, lease negotiations, construction, and asset management.

Prior to establishing Meridian, Mr. Powell spent seven years with CB Richard Ellis’s Silicon Valley office, serving the last three years as its Managing Director. Previous to CB Richard Ellis, he was a partner at Realprop Development Company, a partner at Kimball Small Properties and Vice President and manager of Sequoia Pacific Realco’s (a Southern Pacific company) Northern California office.

Former project responsibilities include the acquisition and development of Oakmead Village, a 434-acre mixed-use business park located in Santa Clara/Sunnyvale, and Oakmead San Jose, a 264-acre business park located in north San Jose. Mr. Powell was a partner in redevelopment projects in downtown San Jose, including the Fairmont Hotel, the Colonnade Apartments, and the Fairmont Office Building, as well asTechmart and adjoining former Double Tree Hotel (now Westin) in Santa Clara.

Mr. Powell holds a Bachelor of Science degree, with emphasis in economics, from the University of California, Davis.
